RISHIKESH, INDIA

My trip to India was everything I had hoped for and more. It was hot, noisy, smelly, chaotic and yet had some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. I loved it all and was humbled by the people who have very little, yet are so friendly, generous and happy. Some of my highlights include:

  • Visiting the Beatles Ashram

  • Participating in the Aarti ceremony on the banks of the Ganges River

  • Our tour guide Furqan who went above and beyond during our visit to the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort

  • Swami Omkarananda, who was kind enough to share his life journey starting from his days as a Monk

  • Shri Kunjapuri Temple aka (Himalayan Temple) where we witnessed the most incredible sunrise

  • Mittra the teacher from Yoga Vini who gave me quite the taste of traditional yoga

  • Last but not least, Linda the founder of Pilates & Yoga Styles in Geelong, Anthony and all the girls. What a wonderful bunch and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to share my experiences with

Thank you Linda for organising this trip of a life time and for the wonderful morning and evening Yoga, Pranayama & Meditation, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I will treasure these memories for ever.
